April – June 2014 became the beginning of Russian invasion in Ukraine. Literally, it is the beginning of an undeclared war in the East of Ukraine.
More than 10,000 people were killed, about 23,000 were injured, almost 1,8 million Ukrainians were forced to leave their homes and move to other cities. A lot of disabled, elderly and poor people remained in the conflict zone, surviving in terrible conditions, often without water, electricity and heat.
House of Mercy foundation provides systematic support of Eastern regions of Ukraine by food, clothes and hygiene products.
Two holiday actions, Christmas Joy and Easter Hope, are held every year. Within the framework of each action there is packaging and distribution of 4-5 thousand of boxes with grocery sets and presents for children and festive charity lunches for widows, disabled, elderly and lonely people. Every time a big team of Norwegian volunteers comes to do the packaging of the boxes.
Once a month a truck loaded with vegetables and food from the Mercy Farm is send to the conflict zone.
